Bodegas Valdivia

Save to my lists

This house no longer makes wine or opens its doors.

Its page stays because people still look for it by name.

What remains of it lives on at: Bodega José y Miguel Martín

About the winery

A bodega in the centre of Jerez created in 2003 on a 1960 site that had belonged to Williams & Humbert, with three buildings — Pedro de Valdivia, Sacromonte and Valdivia — and some ten thousand butts. Nueva Rumasa bought it in 2008 and joined it to Garvey; it went into insolvency proceedings in 2011, and in 2015 it was awarded to José y Miguel Martín, which now seasons casks there.

Inside the complex was Villa del Duque, a guesthouse with a wine museum. Its Pedro de Valdivia brandy brand passed to José y Miguel Martín in 2016 and is still registered.
