About the winery

The winery that put Cádiz reds on the international map, with Syrah from the Arcos countryside as its banner.

It was founded in 2006 by Vicente Taberner Carsi, from Valencia, on an estate of gentle slopes at around 150 metres, with the Bornos reservoir and the Sierra de Grazalema tempering the microclimate. Its vineyards — some 75 hectares planted mostly to Syrah, with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Tintilla de Rota — are the source of the Taberner and Barbazul reds, which opened export markets for the Vinos de la Tierra de Cádiz PGI.
