About the winery

A family bodega beside the Bornos reservoir, with some of the oldest vines in the district — up to forty years — behind its Regantío Viejo. The Naranjo Ortiz family bought it in 2018 to rebuild the project without touching the raw material. It does not go beyond thirty-five thousand bottles a campaign and has a restaurant of its own.

A protected geographical indication covering still wines — reds, whites and rosés, neither fortified nor aged under flor — from sixteen municipalities of Cádiz province, inside and outside the Marco. Regulated by the Andalusian government since 2005, it is the umbrella for the region's grower reds and much of its new wave.

Wines

Duo Vites

Tinto Syrah 85% Syrah y 15% Merlot de cepas de más de quince años. Mínimo 8 meses en botella.

Tonalidades rojo picota con bordes violáceos, aromas a fruta negra y notas especiadas. En boca, sabor muy intenso con taninos redondeados.

Ignotus

Blanco Fermentación a muy baja temperatura con sus propias lías y hasta seis meses en barricas de roble francés y americano. Ediciones limitadas, numeradas y lacradas a mano.

Procede de su colección de variedades, con Palomino, Riesling y Moscatel de Alejandría entre las principales. Vino original, de espíritu feroz y sabor único.

Junus

Blanco Palomino Fino 90% Palomino y 10% Moscatel del pago de Macharnudo Bajo. Fermenta en botas de roble americano envinadas con amontillados y olorosos, y se cría sobre lías finas con batonnages quincenales.

Aromas florales, a panadería fina y frutos secos; untuoso, de acidez media y aromas delicados con reminiscencias de la elaboración tradicional de los vinos de Jerez.

Relicta

Tinto Syrah 100% Syrah criado en barricas de roble francés y un mínimo de 8 meses en botella.

Vino complejo, repleto de pequeños matices.
