About the winery

The house of 501 brandy, one of the leading brandy houses of the Marco at the start of the century, with bodegas on Calle Valdés in El Puerto. In 2009 it stopped making its own brandy and had other houses make it, and in 2019 the tax authorities auctioned its buildings and twenty-four of its brands.

According to the house itself, its origins go back to 1783, to growers who eventually formed Carlos y Javier de Terry. It was a supplier to the Royal Household from 1875, and in the nineties it was bought by Pedro Torres. Its wines were Fino Marinero, Oloroso Tercios and Crema Zurbarán. It is not known who acquired the brands at the auction.
