Santiago palette: clay and roof tileHeir to the almacenista tradition, Lustau brings together six historic bodegas in the Santiago quarter and is a world reference for vintage and almacenista wines.
Founded in 1896 by José Ruiz Berdejo as an almacenista on an estate on the outskirts of Jerez. His son-in-law Emilio Lustau Ortega moved the bodega to the Santiago quarter in 1940, and in 1950 the house went from almacenista to exporter. Its Almacenista range, launched in the 1980s, pays tribute to that tradition. Since 1990 it has belonged to the Luis Caballero group, which in 2008 bought the La Ina, Río Viejo and Viña 25 brands from Domecq; their soleras are aged at the Calle Arcos bodega.
