About the winery

Pepe Cabral, a Trebujena grower and the driving force behind the Mostolé movement, works organically with Palomino and with Castellano, a variety planted there in the seventeenth century that he is bringing back. His wine was the first in Andalusia certified suitable for vegans.

Bodega Albarizas

Since 1977

The Trebujena cooperative, founded in 1977 and made up of some two hundred and twenty smallholders farming seven hundred and ten hectares between Trebujena and Lebrija. It is where the grapes from the albarizas sloping down to the Guadalquivir end up, and the necessary stop for understanding the wine of the Bajo Guadalquivir.

Juan Francisco Pulido Cabral has farmed his Trebujena vineyard full time since 2011, and his musts have won the Consejo Regulador’s competition. Now he bottles wine too: Palomino from thirty-year-old vines on albariza sloping down to the Guadalquivir.
