Wineries of Jerez and the province of Cádiz

92 wineries found

Covers the wineries on the Consejo Regulador's register and those working outside it, inside and beyond the Marco. What's the difference

Why does each winery have a colour of its own?

The cards carry no photographs, but an illustration drawn for this site: its palette evokes the landscape each house comes from. It is a note of colour, not a classification — the designation, the town and the size are all spelled out on the labels of every card.

  • Macharnudo albariza and gold
  • Carrascal toasted earth
  • Santiago clay and roof tile
  • Guadalquivir riverbank green
  • Guadalete river blue
  • Costa Atlantic turquoise
  • Marisma salt-marsh green
  • Campiña dryland ochre
  • Tinto garnet of the sierra

Jerez de la Frontera

Bodegas León Domecq (Vides)

The old Vides bodegas on Calle Justicia, where wine has been kept since 1850, reopened by the León Domecq family in 2021 with the building restored. They were almacenistas for the big houses — Lustau bottled their Palo Cortado Almacenista Vides — and today they age everything from fino to Pedro Ximénez under the Señorío de Callao label, along with Jerez vinegars.

Jerez de la Frontera

Bodegas Páez Morilla

Since 1945

The house that took Jerez vinegar out of the winemakers' own kitchens and put it on the market. It began as a small solera kept by Francisco Páez in 1910, and his son Antonio turned it into a bodega in 1945, the first to age and sell Vinagre de Jerez Reserva and Gran Reserva. Since the eighties it also makes still wine: the white Tierra Blanca and Viña Lucía, the area's first bottled oak-aged red.
