Macharnudo palette: albariza and goldThe house the Serdio Domecq family has built on the former Urium bodega, in the Santiago quarter: six hundred and fifty inherited casks, a range that starts at eight years and reaches the VORS, and a wine-tourism project open to the public since 2026.
The Serdios ran tabancos and wine businesses in Jerez, and a bodega on Cádiz’s avenida de Portugal that a grandfather of the current promoters sold in 1968. Their descendants revived the name in 2019 and in 2023 completed the purchase of Bodegas Urium: the cellars on Calle Muro, beside the wall of the Santiago quarter, and its six hundred and fifty casks. Lorenzo García Iglesias runs the house and the winemaker José María Quirós signs the wines, both of them from Bodegas Tradición. It opened its doors in February 2026, fifty-eight years after the family name vanished from the trade.
