About the winery

The only winery in Jerez devoted exclusively to VOS and VORS wines, heir to the historic Rivero house (1650). It also houses a notable private art collection.

Founded in 1998 by Joaquín Rivero to revive his family's winemaking tradition, heir to the historic "Rivero CZ". Since 2000, when the Consejo Regulador officially recognised the VOS and VORS categories, Tradición has devoted itself exclusively to these exceptionally long-aged wines. At the end of 2025 it bought from Herederos de Argüeso, in Sanlúcar, the bodegas of the former convent of Santo Domingo, the San León manzanilla brand and some hundred butts, and in October 2026 it presented a project to restore them.

The designation of origin for the fortified wines of the Marco: fino, manzanilla, amontillado, palo cortado, oloroso, Pedro Ximénez, moscatel and cream. It covers ageing under flor and the criaderas y soleras system, and only wineries registered with the Consejo Regulador may use it.
