Since 1969
Twenty-five hectares of its own vines on the Cerro Santiago, within Macharnudo Alto, planted in 1969 by the haulier Nicolás Martín before he put up the first building. The vineyard is almost all Palomino, with five per cent Pedro Ximénez laid out to dry in the sun. It is among the Marco's busiest for wine tourism: blind tastings, dinners among the vines and four-wheel-drive routes.

Founded in 1975 by Jesús Ferris Marhuenda, who owned extensive vineyards in some of the Marco's best areas. The bodega sits on the Trebujena road, outside the town, and ages wine from its own grapes.

An almacenista who went over to the bottle. In 1992 Juan Piñero bought a 1920s bodega on Calle Trasbolsa, formerly Argüeso's, and for years sold his manzanilla to La Gitana and Argüeso to enrich their soleras. In 2013 he launched his own label, Maruja, starting from top-quality must in eighteen hundred butts.

View wineryThe old Vides bodegas on Calle Justicia, where wine has been kept since 1850, reopened by the León Domecq family in 2021 with the building restored. They were almacenistas for the big houses — Lustau bottled their Palo Cortado Almacenista Vides — and today they age everything from fino to Pedro Ximénez under the Señorío de Callao label, along with Jerez vinegars.
View wineryAn ageing bodega on the El Cotito farm in Mesas de Asta, where the González Sillero family of almacenistas once had their cellars. Two of their descendants, the brothers Javier and Jaime García González, brought it back in 2021 together with Enrique Barroso. It can be visited with a tasting, and its shop sells the wine from the cask or bottled.
