About the winery

An organic winery and olive mill between Conil and Vejer, devoted to recovering the red varieties grown in the area in the nineteenth century. It makes wine, vinegar and extra virgin olive oil.

A protected geographical indication covering still wines — reds, whites and rosés, neither fortified nor aged under flor — from sixteen municipalities of Cádiz province, inside and outside the Marco. Regulated by the Andalusian government since 2005, it is the umbrella for the region's grower reds and much of its new wave.

A tiny winery in the hamlet of La Patría, on a slope looking out to the Atlantic, built by Ute Mergner and Hans Nerlinger when they left Germany knowing nothing about wine. Some four thousand organic bottles a year, among them the first sparkling rosé made in Vejer.

A bodega in La Barca de Vejer that ages fortified wines in solera, an orange wine made from Pedro Ximénez and still wines, and bottles them under the Vinos de Vexèr label. It has a shop with tastings, sessions for groups and halls for weddings and celebrations.
