About the winery

The historic winery in the centre of Lebrija, one of the Seville-province municipalities covered by the Denomination of Origin, beside the Almohad wall and the church of Santa María de la Oliva.

Originally known as Bodegas Marqués de San Gil, its earliest documented records date from the 18th century (1711), although the current building was remodelled in the mid-19th century at the request of the Diosdado family from Jerez. It makes Fino, Amontillado, Oloroso and Cream following the criaderas and soleras system.

The designation of origin for the fortified wines of the Marco: fino, manzanilla, amontillado, palo cortado, oloroso, Pedro Ximénez, moscatel and cream. It covers ageing under flor and the criaderas y soleras system, and only wineries registered with the Consejo Regulador may use it.
