About the winery

An estate winery at the Cortijo de Torrecera devoted to still wine under the Cádiz PGI: reds from international varieties alongside Tintilla de Rota.

The Domecq family makes and bottles at the Cortijo de Torrecera, in the eastern part of the Jerez municipality, using fruit exclusively from the estate. Their reds combine Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah and Garnacha with the native Tintilla de Rota under the Vinos de la Tierra de Cádiz PGI, and in recent years they have joined the revival of the vino de pasto.

A protected geographical indication covering still wines — reds, whites and rosés, neither fortified nor aged under flor — from sixteen municipalities of Cádiz province, inside and outside the Marco. Regulated by the Andalusian government since 2005, it is the umbrella for the region's grower reds and much of its new wave.
