About the winery

The last great family winery on the banks of the Guadalete river, with 'cathedral' cellars virtually unchanged since the 19th century.

The first cellar dates from 1838 and remains almost as it was then. In the early 20th century it was acquired by José Gutiérrez Dosal, whose family still runs it today. In 1969 the family added the ruins of the former Palace of the Count of Cumbrehermosa to expand its premises.

Designations of origin

DO Jerez-Xérès-Sherry · Manzanilla-Sanlúcar de Barrameda

View wineries →

The designation of origin for the fortified wines of the Marco: fino, manzanilla, amontillado, palo cortado, oloroso, Pedro Ximénez, moscatel and cream. It covers ageing under flor and the criaderas y soleras system, and only wineries registered with the Consejo Regulador may use it.

DO Vinagre de Jerez (Sherry Vinegar)

View wineries →

A designation of its own for vinegar aged in the same American oak butts and through the same solera system as Sherry wine. Many wineries hold it alongside the wine DO; a few produce vinegar exclusively.
